What Our Clients Say
Specialist Pest Control Services
Although our general pest control treatment is our standard treatment for most homeowners, sometimes customers have a specific pest problem or a major infestation that requires one of our specialised pest control treatments. In particular, we offer specialised treatments for ant control, cockroach control (including German cockroaches), spider control and wasp control, as well as rodent control and bird control programs.
Ant Control
We offer a range of ant control treatments depending on the species of ant and whether the problems is inside the house, outside the house, in the pavers or in the lawn. We typically use ant baits as part of our ant treatments, as it is important to kill the queen(s) to eliminate the colony and provide lasting protection.
Cockroach Control
Large cockroaches are normally covered within our general pest control treatment. However, if you have a major infestation or a German cockroach problem you will need one of our specialist cockroach control treatments. Typically these treatments will involved using sprays, sometimes in combination with baits and dusts.
Spider Control
Our specialist spider control treatments or spider sprays are primarily targeting web-building spiders such as black house spiders and redbacks, to get rid of the spiders and prevent them building their unsightly webs. We also carry out a general perimeter treatment which will help prevent hunting spiders (white-tails and huntsman) entering your house, but more importantly this eliminates their prey (insects) which will make your house less attractive to them in the first place.
Wasp Control and Wasp Nest Removal
Our professional wasp control treatments provide customers with safe elimination and removal of wasp nests. Our treatments also include dealing with the dangerous European wasp, which is a serious safety threat to people and pets.
Rodent Control
Our rodent control treatments are designed to get rid of rats and mice safely and quickly. We use a range of baits (in lockable bait stations) and traps as appropriate. Due to the way baits work and the behaviour or rodents, typically it will take a week or so to get rid of a mouse problem and nearer 2 weeks for a rat problem.
Bird Control and Bird Proofing
We offer bird proofing services to both businesses and homeowners, to keep pest birds away from their buildings. For homeowners, our solar panel bird proofing services is very popular, protecting the panels from damage and ensuring they are clear of droppings for maximum performance.
Pest Control FAQ
Safety is our number 1 priority, for our customers, their pest, the environment and of course, ourselves! Before we carry out any pest treatment we discuss any concerns you may have and carry out a risk assessment at the property. We can then design the appropriate pest treatment to deliver the required results and minimise any risks. All the products we use are safe for use around homes and businesses (as long as they are used in accordance with the label).
The main safety requirement when we carry out a pest spray is that people and pets should be kept clear during application, but can re-enter once the spray has dried.
With any rodent treatment, when we use baits, we always use lockable bait stations.
So the bottom line is that all our treatments are designed to be safe for use around people and pets.
Yes, we offer warranties with all our treatments. The nature of the warranty and length of the warranty depends on the pest. With any treatment we guarantee to eliminate the pest problem and after elimination we offer a service free period (warranty). This means that should the pest re-appear during the service free period (unlikely), we will return to investigate and do a spot treatment if required.
For termite treatments, an ongoing warranty is available as long as annual termite inspections are carried out and any corrective actions to remedy termite conducive conditions are implemented.
If you have termites or think you may have termites, the first thing to do is not panic! If you have termites, nothing is going to happen in a day or two, so just give us a call and we will be around to investigate and carry out a termite inspection.
However, it is important that you avoid disturbing the termites as this can frighten them away from the area, making it more difficult to identify the problem and carry out a treatment. So no matter how tempting it may be, don’t break open any mud tubes or damaged wood and don’t spray them with insecticide (it may kill a few termites, but won’t kill the nest or eliminate the problem).
As a rule we don’t offer discounts on individual services. However, if customers combine more than one service into the same visit, we can offer a combined services discount. For many homeowners, they combine they annual pest spray and termite inspection into the same visit for a small discount.
