Pest Control Services in Hassall Grove

Our Serial Pest Control technicians are fully licensed and equipped to provide a comprehensive range of pest control services in Hassall Grove, including:

Having your home ‘sprayed for spiders’ once a year is a great way to keep the number of crawling insects in your home to a minimum. Known as a general pest treatment, this professional service targets a wide range of pests, including cockroaches and silverfish – not just spiders!

Termites are different to other insects as they live underground, so keeping them out of a home is not as simple as having a spray treatment once a year. For termites, it’s recommended that every home in Australia is professionally inspected for signs of termites at least once a year as they can easily attack the timbers of a home without being spotted by homeowners.

Having a termite inspection at the same time as a general pest treatment is a popular option for many of our customers, as having the two services at the same time is a more efficient way of doing things, saving time and money.

Serial Pest Control also provide professional commercial pest control services to businesses and organisations in Hassall Grove.

What Our Clients Say

Key Pests in Hassall Grove

Hot summers with frequent rain showers make Hassall Grove an ideal location for a wide variety of pests, which thrive in moist, warm locations. Not surprinsgly we receive the highest number of calls from customers during the warmer months, from spring through till late autumn, when he common pests are at their most active. However, homeowners in Hassall Grove should be vigilant for the termite threat all year round.

Cockroaches are an ever-present problem as they can easily find their way indoors through cracks and crevices. They will particularly be drawn to easy sources of food, such as cardboard boxes. Spiders are usually the pests that give homeowners the biggest fright! While many spiders have a harmless bite, Sydney is home to several particularly aggressive and venomous species, so vigilance is required around pets and children in particular. Ants can be a bit of a pain during the warmer months, although populations can quickly be brought under control using professional grade ant control products such as baits. Rats and mice will seek shelter indoors somewhere warm for the winter, so blocking potential entry points during late autumn is a good idea.

Having a general pest treatment once a year is an easy and effective way to keep the number of pests entering your home to a minimum, although for termites they require a different approach (see below).

Termite Inspections and Treatments in Hassall Grove

It’s recommended that all Australian homeowners have their property inspected for termites at least once a year. Why? Because termites can gain access to a property without being seen and can cause a lot of damage almost entirely undetected. Structural timbers, door frames, skirting boards, floorboards… these are all potential termite food sources. During a professional termite inspection one of our qualified inspectors will carefully examine the property checking for signs of termite entry. The report will also note any weak spots where termites could gain access easily or without being noticed. If termite activity is discovered during the inspection, we can quickly initiate a suitable termite treatment.

A termite management system offers the highest level of termite protection to a property. This is usually a bait/monitoring system or a soil treatment. A baiting system involves placing bait stations around the perimeter of the property at regularly spaced intervals. A liquid soil treatment sees liquid termiticide mixed into the soil around the property, effectively created a “termite barrier”.

Having a termite management system installed and checked at least once a year is the best way to minimise the threat of a termite attack.
